Judgement Mechanism

The judgement in this game is mainly based on the relative Y-axis position of the Note and the Catcher when the Note is caught (not timing difference). Therefore, the judgement time window is strongly correlated with fall speed and Note size. Simply put, the faster the Note falls or the smaller the Note is, the smaller the time interval for each judgement window, making the judgement more difficult and strict. The specific parameters are as follows:
  • PBest: Judged as PBest when the Note is caught exactly as it crosses the judgement line.
  • Best: Judged as Best when the Note is caught within 0.5 Note width after crossing the judgement line.
  • Cool: Judged as Cool when the Note is caught within 0.5 - 1 Note width after crossing the judgement line.
  • Good: Judged as Good when the Note is caught within 1 - 1.75 Note width after crossing the judgement line.
  • Miss: Judged as Miss when the Note is not caught after falling more than 1.75 Note width past the judgement line.
