Part 1: Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 10, 2026 Welcome to register and use Cachi (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”). The Service is dedicated to providing a pure competitive and communication platform for music game enthusiasts. Before you click “Agree” and register an account, please read the following terms carefully:

1. Account Registration and Naming Standards

  1. Email Authentication: You agree to provide a real and valid email address. This email will be used for account activation, security verification, and password retrieval.
  2. Account Security: Your account is for your personal use only.
  3. Naming Restrictions (Important):
    • Prohibited Content: It is strictly forbidden to register usernames (IDs) containing the following content:
      • Information that violates local laws and regulations;
      • Content involving political sensitivity, racial discrimination, or gender discrimination;
      • Insulting, abusive, or offensive vocabulary;
      • Names impersonating administrators or other famous figures.
    • Measures: Once a violation ID is found, we reserve the right to directly forcefully modify the nickname or permanently ban the account without notice.

2. Avatar Service Statement (Cravatar)

  1. This game integrates the Cravatar third-party avatar service.
  2. Data Processing: In order to display your avatar, your registered email address will be sent to the Cravatar server for matching after being encrypted and hashed (Hash).
  3. Content Responsibility: Although the avatar is hosted by a third party, the avatar content displayed in this game must comply with the public order and good customs principles in the above “Naming Restrictions”. Using violating avatars (such as involving politics, pornography, violence) will result in the account being banned.

3. Leaderboards and Fair Competition

  1. Strictly Prohibit Cheating: It is strictly forbidden to use cheats, macros, speed hacks, modify local client files, or forge network data packets to upload fake scores.
  2. Penalties: Cheaters will be permanently removed from the leaderboard and their accounts will be banned.

4. Data Upload Authorization

  1. You agree to authorize the platform to publicly display your game replay data (Replay Data) and score information on the leaderboard.
  2. Note: The uploaded data only contains key timestamps and statistical data, and does not contain any audio files or chart background images.

Part 2: Disclaimer

Important Note: This software is merely a “Player/Simulator”.

1. Definition of Software Nature

Cachi is a non-commercial open-source/community-driven rhythm game simulator. This software aims to parse and run data files in specific formats and record players’ operation results. This platform does not provide, store, or distribute any copyrighted music files (Audio), chart files (Beatmaps/Charts), or background images.

2. About Game Resources (Beatmaps)

  1. Local Read Mode: All content played by users in the game is read entirely from the local storage of the user’s device.
  2. User Responsibility:
    • Users must ensure that the game resources imported or stored in their devices have legal sources.
    • If a user loads or plays unauthorized copyrighted content locally, all relevant legal responsibilities shall be borne by the user.
    • This platform cannot control the content of files loaded by users locally, so it does not assume copyright responsibility for any audio or images loaded by users.

3. Platform Rights and Community Standards (Including Political/Illegal Content Statement)

Although this platform does not control users’ local song files, this platform has complete management rights over the account system and leaderboards:
  1. Right of Refusal: We are committed to maintaining a non-political and harmonious game environment. For users who use usernames (IDs), avatars, or personal signatures involving political sensitivity, violations of laws and regulations, or hate speech, this platform has the right to not only delete their leaderboard data, freeze or cancel their accounts, but also assume no liability for compensation.
  2. Data Cleanup: For zombie accounts that have not logged in for a long time or registration behaviors determined to be malicious by the system, the platform reserves the right to clean up data.

4. Third-Party Compatibility Statement

This game provides parsing support for file formats such as .osu (osu!) and .mcz (Malody), aiming to facilitate users to migrate personal data and gaming experience.
  • This game has no official cooperation, authorization, or affiliation with osu!, Malody, or their developers.
  • All relevant trademarks and file format standards belong to their original holders.

5. Service Stability

This game is maintained by the community and does not guarantee the permanence of the service. The development team does not assume liability for compensation for data loss caused by server maintenance, cyber attacks, force majeure, or project termination.
